These were all shot using the B/W mode (no matter what I did with the white balance, the colours just looked fucking cheap) on my Canon 350D with a 35mm lens, around f/2.2 and 1/125 (I switched around a little), mostly at ISO 1600. There were at least two other people with decent cameras doing flash photography, so why duplicate the effort? These are all done with ambient lighting, with one exception (the one of everyone dancing during the last BCSU song) and the result is a little more organic and flattering, plus I didn't have to deal with the guilt of firing my flash in people's eyes.
